“Belleville council is supporting the establishment of a national guaranteed livable income program.

Mayor Neil Ellis said such a program might go a long way toward solving a growing problem plaguing communities everywhere.

A resolution from the Town of Grimsby, asking that politicians at all levels, local, provincial and federal, lobby to work together on a liveable income program was supported by council at its meeting Tuesday.”
