Gift Basic Income Now – Donate Today!

December 23, 2023

Give a Gift to help end precarity and poverty. Help us gear up and mobilize for a Basic Income in the coming year.

To be honest the tasks ahead are daunting. With your donation, you’re not just a supporter; your part of the basic income community, joining with us, side by side, aiding our strategic and creative campaigns that are making a real difference mobilizing people in Kingston and across the country.

Basic Income activism is too political for you to receive a charitable receipt, but every dollar you donate will go directly to support grassroots efforts. We have no staff and almost no overhead. Your donation ensures that your contributions makes the maximum impact.

? Our Big Plans for 2024:

City Council Resolution: Kingston was the first municipality in Canada to endorse basic income, back in 2015, and we aim to persuade Council, in 2024, to re-endorse a new resolution urging the federal government to fund a basic income program.

Nationwide Movement: Leveraging our momentum from over 40 cities and towns last year that passed resolutions supporting basic income, we plan to escalate The Case for Basic Income and Municipalities campaign throughout Canada.

Amplifying Our Voice: A new Campaign Video, poised to be as influential as our first one (30,000+ views), will spread our message further.

Merch for Awareness: We plan to distribute T-shirts, hoodies, stickers, and more to bolster support and solidarity.

Visibility Everywhere: Hundreds more of ‘Basic Income Now’ signs of change will be distributed for display on lawns, in windows, and at rallies demonstrating our widespread support. To-date our signs are seen across the country, from Bonavista to Vancouver Island, from the Arctic Circle, to the Great Lake waters.

? Our Pledge at KBIG: A basic income was made for you and me. As a volunteer-driven organization, we dedicate every donation to creating and promoting materials for the ‘Basic Income Now’ movement in Kingston, the Islands, and crucial national campaigns.

This holiday season, we hope to count on your continued support. Your contribution represents more than just financial aid; it’s a testament to our collective power to build a fairer, more equitable society.

Your solidarity has been our strength, for which we are eternally grateful.
